Your visit to Monterey wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the Old Fisherman’s Wharf.  Stroll along the Wharf and you’ll find around 20 places to dine in or grab a snack where you can experience some amazing meals and tasty treats.  Wonderful seafood restaurants and take-out establishments abound.  After you’ve had your fill, why not stop for a tasty treat at one of the candy or ice cream shops?  You taste buds will thank you!  Many merchants also offer special discounts for our Military members, so be sure to ask.

Before or after you tickle your taste buds at one or more of the great shops, you should take advantage of the amazing ocean activities in Monterey.  Old Fisherman’s Wharf has several vendors that offer Whale Watching excursions.  Take a cruise of Monterey Bay where you’ll see things like sea otters, seals, pelicans, and other bay life.  Depending on the time of the year, you might even catch a glimpse of migrating gray whales.  For a calmer excursion, there are even Glass Bottom Boat Tours and for the more adventurous, deep sea sport fishing is also an option!
